  Please do not feel pressured to use their services. The staff members will rush you into making decisions based on "the condition of the body". Very unprofessional, rude, didn't take care of our loved one properly. The morgue smelled as if the thermostat was broken and flesh was rotting. Had a love one die the weekend of Hurricane Mathew, upon viewing the body two days later, the funeral home was in the middle of restoring power, the owner claimed the power never went out...as he proceeds to tell us his computer system etc were down over The weekend *ironic right*. By way of North Carolina law, funeral home directors are supposed to discuss business and payment options at the beginning of service, they are supposed have a brochure, pamphlet, paper, whatever explaining costs of services...based on FTC rules, however this was not done. Prices were giving verbally with no proof. Had. I idea if we were being over charged. Filed a complaint with NC Board of Funeral Homes for mishandling of care. They denied claim. Avoid at all cost. Wheeler and Woodlief will provide immaculate service and will take care of all of your needs. They definitely turned a very sensitive, emotional time into a truly memorable one. Because of the power outage and miscare of our loved ones body at Pope, we were not able to have a viewing ceremony. His arrogance, and lack of compassion really shows. BEWARE
